As days continue to pass and the weather around the country (except here in San Francisco) really starts to heat up, it can only mean one thing: football season is right around the corner. As always, Madden is poised to beat the real NFL to the punch with its typical August release (August 10 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2 and iPhone to be exact).

To whet your appetite for what looks to be one of the most impressive football games in years, we’re here to give you guys a look at the five most improved players in the NFL as well as five guys who appear to have spent their off season with a can of Pringles and the TV remote at their side. Here are the top ten movers and losers in Madden NFL 11.

In addition to detailing each player’s overall rating in this year’s game, we also spoke with EA Sports’ “Madden Ratings Czar” for a quick justification for the swing in attributes.
